The San Bernardino Stampede got a good effort from starter Jesse Romo in defeating the Temecula Udder Tuggers at San Manuel Stadium. The final score was 2-0. Axel Plute closed the door for San Bernardino, picking up his 6th save of the year. With the win, the Stampede improved to 35-37.

San Bernardino took a 2-0 lead on Cypress Hogue's 5th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Hogue hit in the top of the eighth, left Temecula pitcher Jarvis Kirouac visibly frustrated.

"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Hogue told the San Bernardino Chronicle. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
