Udder Tuggers Beaten, 5-2, by Rancho Cucamonga
|
The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of Rancho Cucamonga fans at Hammond Stadium.
The 3-hit performance of Gelacio Asala helped the Rancho Cucamonga Rattlers beat the Temecula Udder Tuggers, 5-2. Randy Laity was the winner. He's now 1-0. The loser was Gene Sheridan.
Camden Thomas dealt the Udder Tuggers a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Rancho Cucamonga leading 1-0, Thomas, who is tied for 2nd in the CAL in doubles with 18, hit a 1-2 curveball for a run-scoring single.
Thomas said afterward that "winning is what it's all about."
The Rattlers go to 38-26, putting them second in the California League South Division.
