Stompers Turn Back Stampede, 4-2
|
Emmanuel Ochoa knocked in all 4 runs for the Sonoma Stompers, helping them beat the San Bernardino Stampede, 4-2. J.D. Hofmann picked up the save, his 7th. At 31-27, the Stompers are currently 4th in the California League North Division.
The game turned with one out in the top of the fourth. That's when Ochoa hit a grand slam home run off Johnny Thorp. It propelled the Stompers into the lead, 4-0.
"I thought we competed really well," said Stompers manager Lorenzo Velarde. "I thought the energy was really good."
