Down Goes Sonoma, 9-0
|
Reagan Daly was nothing short of phenomenal for the Martinez Clippers. The 22-year-old right-hander was a big reason his team beat the Sonoma Stompers, 9-0. Martinez goes to 31-26, Sonoma to 28-29.
Carlos Brito had a big 2-run double for the Clippers in the top of the third inning. With Martinez leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Miguel Ángel Moreno and swatted a double to center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Clippers ahead, 3-0.
"Reagan had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Martinez manager Josiah Gordon.
