Benefiting from Santiago Iglesias's productive game, the Martinez Clippers downed the High Desert Mavericks, 5-1. Iglesias was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Clippers. Dom Fitzgerald recorded the save for Martinez, his 1st of the season. Martinez is sailing along at 38-18.

J.B. MacMillan had a big solo home run for the Clippers in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Martinez leading 2-1 and the bases empty, he got a slider from Cesar Almanzar and swatted a home run to left. It was his 2nd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Clippers ahead, 3-1.
