Lancaster Listless in 10-1 Loss
|
San Bernardino starter Josh Mount kept the Lancaster hitters in check, helping his team cruise to a win, 10-1. Mount, now 3-2, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 8, walking 0, and allowing no runs. The current losing streak for Lancaster has reached 4 games.
Emery Barbour had a big run-scoring double for the Stampede in the bottom of the third inning. With San Bernardino leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Rowan Schucker, who is tied for 6th in the CAL in strikeouts with 55, and swatted a double to center. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Stampede ahead, 2-0.
"When you don't put the pitches where they're supposed to be, they hit you hard," said Lancaster skipper Dave Rendon.
