Clippers Rally Late to Clip Rancho Cucamonga
|
Camden Thomas had a good game, but he could not keep the Rancho Cucamonga Rattlers from falling, 4-3, to the Martinez Clippers at Recreation Park. The Rancho Cucamonga second baseman went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once in the loss. Martinez now sports a record of 24-27.
Juan Carlos Manzano was the walk-off hero for Martinez. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Clippers left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
After the game, Martinez manager Josiah Gordon applauded the team's effort. "We put some good AB's together," he said.
