Rattlers Rally For 9-5 Win
|
Rancho Cucamonga took on Martinez in front of a lively crowd.
The Rancho Cucamonga Rattlers powered past the Martinez Clippers, 9-5, at Recreation Park. Gabriel Ozuna provided some of the pop. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Woody Antonioli came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. His record now stands at 4-1.
Rancho Cucamonga needed the clutch hitting of D.J. Adkins to seal the deal. The second baseman swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Rattlers on top, 7-5. For the game, Adkins had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Gabriel raked," said Rancho Cucamonga manager Serge Olivero.
With the win, Rancho Cucamonga has a record of 27-22. Martinez falls to 23-26.
