Sonoma Hot Streak Continues with 7-1 Win
|
The Sonoma Stompers bested the Lake Elsinore Storm, 7-1, at Bright House Field. Clint West was one of the standouts. He was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The 4th-place Stompers have won 10 in a row.
In the bottom of the fifth, Sonoma second baseman Eli Stein had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Stein stroked a run-scoring single to left-center. It made the score 3-1, Sonoma. For the game, he was 2 for 3 with 2 singles.
"I had a good feeling about this game even before we took the field," Stein told the Sonoma Bulletin. "I'm glad it wasn't just gas."
