Stompers Tally 10-2 Win
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 22-year old catcher Trey Knapp, the Sonoma Stompers defeated the Lake Elsinore Storm, 10-2. Marco Ravasi earned the win. Isaac Warren, who is tied for 9th in the CAL with a 8.7 K/9 rate, took the loss for Lake Elsinore. With the win, the Stompers hiked their record to 27-21.
Walton Clark had a big 3-run home run for the Stompers in the bottom of the third inning. With Sonoma trailing 2-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he sized up a curveball from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Isaac Warren and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Stompers on top, 3-2.
"Not much went right for us," Lake Elsinore manager Luís Rusin said, when asked afterward about the game.
