Ports Drop Red Wave, 4-1

Stockton pitcher Juan Roblero did his part in helping his team defeat the Riverside Red Wave, 4-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the left-hander. Roblero, now 3-3, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 7, walking 3, and allowing no runs. Their 19-27 record puts the Ports 7th in the California League North Division.
In the top of the ninth, Adrian Lozoya stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Red Wave were trailing 4-1, but had the bases loaded. That's when Diego Olivo made a terrific pitch and Lozoya struck out. Gone was the dream of a Riverside comeback.
