The San Jose Giants topped the Riverside Red Wave, 7-3, at San Jose Municipal Stadium. San Jose left fielder Matthew Rhodes was a spark plug for the offense. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Joshua Scott earned the win. Lennox Isaacs, who is tied for 4th in the CAL with a 1.03 WHIP, took the loss for Riverside. The Giants raised their record to 31-13.

With San Jose leading 4-3 in the bottom of the fifth, Rhodes hit a fastball from Lennox Isaacs for a 2-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Giants ahead, 6-3.

Said losing manager Jim Young: "These are the grinding hard days that all good teams go through, and this is when we've got to stick together and believe in one another."
