McIntosh Excels in 5-4 Santa Cruz Win
In a tight contest at LoanMart Field, the Santa Cruz Cruisers edged the Pittsburg Diamonds by the score of 5-4. Santa Cruz first baseman Dakota McIntosh, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Zenaido Mejia, now 2-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 2.2 innings. Ryan Talbot earned the save for Santa Cruz, his 1st of the year.

McIntosh had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a first pitch slider from Ralph Dunn, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Cruisers a 5-1 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for McIntosh.

"We're not going to feel sorry for ourselves," said Pittsburg skipper Joe Reyes. "Wouldn't do any good."

Pittsburg is in the throes of a losing streak which has reached 9 games.
