Peters Helps Silverados Run Win Streak to 5
|
The Napa Silverados polished off the Pittsburg Diamonds by the score of 9-2. The largest share of the credit belonged to left fielder Ezra Peters. Peters was 3-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 4 times for the Silverados. The winning pitcher was Gavin Radcliffe. He tossed 85 pitches over 6.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 8 hits. Hunter Reyna recorded the save, his 2nd.
Napa needed the clutch hitting of Joseph Baratta to seal the deal. The first baseman swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Silverados on top, 5-2. For the game, Baratta had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We took a roundhouse punch to the chin," said losing manager Joe Reyes.
The 8th-place Silverados have won 5 in a row.
