Bob Bramble could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Martinez Clippers lost, dropping a 1-0 decision to the Temecula Udder Tuggers at San Manuel Stadium. William Gallardo earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record is now 1-0. The Udder Tuggers now own a record of 20-20.

Remus Scott was 2 for 3 with 2 doubles for Temecula. The 22-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Bob Bramble. It was his 1st RBI of the season.
