Brown goes 4-for-5 in Martinez Win
The Martinez Clippers thumped the Temecula Udder Tuggers, 8-1, at San Manuel Stadium. Brock Brown was a big reason his team got the win. Brown went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Lance Garcia picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 3-2. Martinez is now 24-13, Temecula 18-19.

Weston Webster had a big 2-run home run for the Clippers in the top of the second inning. With Martinez leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Tyler Pack and punished it. The result was his 9th home run of the season, which put the Clippers on top, 3-0.

"We'll need a much better effort, the next time out," said losing manager Kwanzaa Mosley.
