Stampede Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
|
The San Bernardino Stampede beat the Sonoma Stompers, 4-3, in 11 innings. San Bernardino pitcher and Pedley, California, native Randy Flowers led the way. This loss makes it 7 in a row for Sonoma.
San Bernardino used the timely hitting of A.J. Palacios to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Stampede on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Palacios told the San Bernardino Today. "But we take nothing for granted."
