The Rancho Cucamonga Rattlers downed the San Jose Giants, 5-3, at Hammond Stadium. The Rattlers were led by Sean Best. Best went 3 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Henry Allan earned the save for Rancho Cucamonga, his 9th. Rancho Cucamonga is now 20-16, while San Jose is 20-16.

With Rancho Cucamonga leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Best hit a slider from James Boyden for a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Rattlers ahead, 3-0.

"Sean was ready to go. Big day for him," said Rancho Cucamonga manager Eric Koczera.
