Rancho Cucamonga Offense Sputters in 8-0 Loss
|
Stockton Ports starter Jake Mayer was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Rancho Cucamonga Rattlers, 8-0. Alarico Carrasco earned the save for Stockton. Stockton now has a record of 20-14 with the win.
Stockton used a well-timed hit by Orlando Mir to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Ports ahead, 4-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
Said losing manager Serge Olivero: "The list goes on and on of things we just flat out didn't do."
