McCall Helps Red Wave Beat Giants, 6-2
|
William McCall left his imprint on the 6-2 Riverside win against the San Jose Giants. McCall, who is tied for 4th in the CAL in RBI with 25, was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Riverside reliever Kaleb Goode picked up the win, raising his record to 1-1. Brady Carter was tagged with the loss. The victory puts Riverside at 9-24.
McCall had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-0 fastball from Brady Carter, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Red Wave a 6-2 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for McCall.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," McCall told the Riverside Chronicle.
