Starting pitcher Donavan Thomas did his part in helping the Temecula Udder Tuggers thwart the Bakersfield Blaze, 7-1. In 7 innings, Thomas surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run. Marty Wagner finished the game for Temecula and earned his 3rd save.
Temecula used the hitting of Logan Simons to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Udder Tuggers on top, 4-1. For the game, Simons had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Solid performance from our side," said Udder Tuggers manager Kwanzaa Mosley.
The loss makes Bakersfield 11-14.
