Hammond Stadium was the site for California League action featuring the Rancho Cucamonga Rattlers and Napa Silverados.
The Napa Silverados defeated the Rancho Cucamonga Rattlers, 5-2, in California League action at Hammond Stadium. Napa pitcher Maxwell Darbouze had a standout performance. Darbouze picked up the win for Napa, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 3-0.
Napa used a clutch at-bat from Lockwood Harris to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Silverados ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Maxwell's stuff looked really, really crisp," said Bobby Gomez, the Silverados manager.
Napa is now 17-9.
