8-1 Loss to Stompers Extends Lake Elsinore Losing Streak
|
Sonoma second baseman Branson Ford was instrumental in helping the Stompers triumph, 8-1, over the Lake Elsinore Storm. Ford was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Sancho Watson was the winner. He's now 3-1. The loser was Mark Deluca. The loss makes Lake Elsinore 4-20.
Micah Moyer, the Sonoma designated hitter, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the second inning to make the score 2-0, Stompers. For the game, Moyer was 2-4 with a double and a walk.
Lake Elsinore manager Kevin Cornell, after yet another defeat, said: "Just different when you have that swimming feeling in your cranium. It's difficult to focus."
