Riverside center fielder Chet Matlock had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Stockton Ports, 9-8. Riverside reliever Edmundo Piña was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Eric Lyons. Riverside is now 10-13.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Riverside right fielder LaQuan Walker, facing Eric Lyons, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Red Wave the 9-8 win.
