The Riverside Red Wave withstood a fine game by Temecula center fielder Elijah Lacey at Roger Dean Stadium, to upend the Udder Tuggers, 5-3. Lacey was 3-4 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. With the win, Riverside goes to 12-11.
Roy Tice dealt the Udder Tuggers a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Riverside leading 1-0, Tice hit a 2-1 fastball for a 2-run single.
In postgame comments to the Riverside News, Tice said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
