Fans watched the Chicago Cubs and the Cleveland Indians fight to the finish.

In a low-scoring affair between the Chicago Cubs and the Cleveland Indians, pitcher Erminio Tomsjansen was the difference between victory and defeat. The Chicago left-hander earned accolades in the 1-0 Cubs win. Tomsjansen, now 6-6, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 10, walking 0, and allowing no runs. A.K.
