Ports 5-3 Winners Over Temecula

Stockton right-hander Lincoln Lollis pitched his team to victory over the Temecula Udder Tuggers at San Manuel Stadium. The final score was 5-3. Lollis yielded 1 run over 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 3-0. Kouya Shimamoto recorded the save, his 4th.
Frederick Knives dealt the Udder Tuggers a blow in the top of the third. Batting with a runner on 2nd and Stockton leading 1-0, Knives, who is tied for 10th in the CAL in triples with 1, hit a 1-1 fastball for a run-scoring single.
"Lincoln did a good job keeping the game under control," said Stockton manager Tristan Batista.
The win brings the Ports to 10-13, an inauspicious start for a team that made the playoffs last season.
