Lake Elsinore Keeps Spiraling Downward
The San Jose Giants beat the Lake Elsinore Storm, 9-5, at Lake Elsinore Diamond. The win was due in part to right fielder Dilbertino Estepona, who went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Curtis Lynch picked up the save, his 5th. The Storm, at 5-17, have stumbled out of the gate.

In the top of the first, Brian Engen ambushed a 0-1 fastball from Kelly Bowlin and hit a 3-run home run. It gave San Jose a quick 3-0 lead.

"No one likes losing," said Lake Elsinore manager Kevin Cornell. "We've hit a tough patch, but we're going to get through it."
