Road Win Lifts Santa Cruz to 3-0 Lead in A+CS
The Santa Cruz Cruisers are one game away from a sweep of the Bradenton Marauders after a road win at LECOM Park, 3-1. Cruisers right-hander Mateo Zaragoza had a strong outing. He threw 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball. Santa Cruz now holds a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 A+ Championship Series.

Santa Cruz used the timely hitting of Ibrahim Avelino to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Cruisers on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We aren't quitting," Bradenton manager Andres Zamarida said. "Yeah, the odds are definitely in their favor, but they've got to earn it."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at LECOM Park in Bradenton.
