Almost There: San Francisco On Cusp of DCS Triumph After 3-0 Win
The San Francisco Giants got a strong performance from pitcher Mark Weiss, who stymied the Las Vegas offense en route to a 3-0 win in Game 4 of the Division Championship Series. The Knights could never get a bead on the left-handed Weiss, who threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. The Giants now hold a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 series.

Weiss, a native of New York, was dealing all game. He kept Las Vegas hitters off-balance, while giving the Giants 7 quality innings. Weiss threw 101 pitches, allowing 7 hits and striking out 10.

"It's so much easier when you throw good pitches," said Weiss.

Game 5 is scheduled for Thursday at Oracle Park.
