|
The Campeche Clowns topped the Chihuahua Aztecs by the score of 8-0, with the biggest share of the credit going to right fielder Gene Miles. Miles hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Clowns on the day. The win puts the Clowns at 41-45, while the Aztecs drop to 47-39.
With one out in the top of the seventh, Chace Rathgeber had a game-changing hit. The Clowns designated hitter slammed a 2-run single off Levi Lerch, making the score 3-0, Campeche.
"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Martin Ortega.
