The Bakersfield Blaze went the distance and then some at Gulls Ballpark to drag themselves back into a tie with the Ventura Gulls.

It took 11 innings to settle Game 4 of the Regional Championship Series, but Bakersfield eventually took the 3-2 win despite the performance of Ventura pitcher Sammy Jin, who threw 7.2 innings of 3-hit ball. The clubs are now tied 2-2 in their best-of-7 series.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Brent Maggio? The Bakersfield right fielder had a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth inning to put the Blaze on top, 2-0. For the game, Maggio had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We didn't go down without a fight," said Ventura manager Hasan Madrigal.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Gulls Ballpark in Ventura.
