Already down in the Divisional Series, the Hampton Orioles put on their best show, beating the Erwin Mountaineers by a final score of 2-1. Paul Raines was special. He threw 5.1 innings allowing 1 run. Hampton now trails Erwin 3-1 in the best-of-7 affair.

Robert Milam helped out the Hampton cause in the bottom of the first inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the shortstop drew 1 walk.

"I'm happy we won," said Raines. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
