When the games really matter, the Everett AquaSox put on their best show, beating the Wenatchee Chiefs by a final score of 11-0 today. Ferris Nuzzo went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Everett now leads Wenatchee 1-0 in the best-of-7 affair.

The AquaSox took a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning. Facing Wenatchee hurler Wade Gaskell with two outs, Nuzzo hit a 3-run home run.

"We put the pedal to the metal," said Nuzzo.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Everett Memorial Stadium in Everett.
