Red Wave Take 2-1 Lead with 7-1 Win
The Riverside Red Wave got a strong performance from pitcher Twain Polston, who stymied the visiting Bakersfield Blaze en route to a win, 7-1, in Game 3 of the Divisional Series. The Blaze could never get a bead on the right-handed Polston, who threw 7.2 innings of shutout ball. The Red Wave now hold a 2-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Polston gave Riverside a solid start. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 7.2 innings.

"We haven't forgotten how long this series might be, but 2-1 is a heck of a lot better than 1-2," Polston said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Roger Dean Stadium in Riverside.
