Olympia Sweeps into the A- Championship Series
Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the Northwest League Regional Championship Series. It turned out quite a bit different.


The Olympia Spartans swept aside the Everett AquaSox to advance to the A- Championship Series, winning the final game by a 8-3 score at Everett Memorial Stadium.

The series MVP was catcher Connor Wells, who hit .500 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 5 runs.

"We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it."

The A- Championship Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Regional Championship Series finishes.
