Jang Delivers Walk-Off Win for Black Bears
|
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Virginia Black Bears and the Arizona Diamondbacks. Virginia won it, 1-0. Virginia starter Cassidy Fine was in command. Virginia is now 25-41, Arizona 40-26.
Nicholas Jang was the walk-off hero for Virginia. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Black Bears shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This place went bonkers at the end," Fine said.
