Twice as Nice: Casper Extends Lead to 2-0 With Walk-off Win
A clutch 9th inning gave the Casper Ghosts a walk-off win over the Grand Junction Rockies and a 2-0 lead in the Wild Card Series at Casper Ballpark. Young second baseman Lon Herrington, 21, earned kudos after he was 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3.

Casper got a game-changing hit from Naldo Merino. The right fielder blasted a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a winner.

"What an exhilarating win!" said Herrington.

Game 3 is scheduled for Wednesday at Suplizio Field in Grand Junction.
