Closing In: San Jose Nears DS With Dramatic Game 4 Win
The 22-year-old rookie on the mound turned out to be the least of the Santa Cruz Cruisers worries.

Giving a high-pressure playoff start to youngster Ayden Faber seemed like a risky move for the Cruisers, but it was one of the few things that went right at San Jose Municipal Stadium. Faber tossed 6.1 solid innings, but it was all for naught after Santa Cruz dropped a 3-2 decision. With the win, San Jose took a 3-1 lead in the best-of-7 Wild Card Series.

Roland Ligon was the walk-off hero for San Jose. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Giants third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said San Jose manager Leon Becerra.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at San Jose Municipal Stadium in San Jose.
