Pembroke Pines Loses Again, 1-0

The rain did not keep Chandler and Pembroke Pines from finishing their game.
Carlos Latorre never let the Herons get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his slider, to pitch the Ranchers to a win, 1-0. The winning pitcher was Latorre, now 7-2. He tossed 5 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 11.
Tony Young, the 19-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Young contributed a solo home run in the top of the first inning to put Chandler up, 1-0.
"We're in a funk right now," said Pembroke Pines skipper Mario Galvan.
Chandler is 6th in the Arizona Rookie League South Division with a record of 32-38.
