Cruisers Win, Move to Within 1 Game of Divisional Series
The Santa Cruz Cruisers moved to within one game of the Divisional Series, downing the visiting Rancho Cucamonga Rattlers at LoanMart Field by a score of 16-6. Cruisers third baseman Charles Rivers did some major damage. He was 6 for 6 with a double and 5 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. The win gives the Cruisers a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Wild Card Series.

Santa Cruz right fielder Gerald Lucenti delivered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the first. Overall, he went 3 for 6, picking up 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 3 runs and knocked in 4.

"Things broke our way today and that's great," Cruisers manager Mike Brownlee said. "It's important, though, to stay focused and not pat yourself on the back too much. We aren't done yet."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at LoanMart Field in Santa Cruz.
