The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp moved to within one game of the Divisional Series, downing the visiting Montgomery Biscuits at Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville by a score of 4-3. Jumbo Shrimp first baseman Dodo Vaughn did some major damage. He was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. The win gives the Jumbo Shrimp a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Wild Card Series.
André Curtis chipped in a solo home run for Jacksonville in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 run batted in.
"This was a nice win for us," said Vaughn. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville in Jacksonville.
