Wild Card Series Gets Ugly as Volcanoes Lose Third Straight, 10-2
The Medford Flying Tigers are one game away from a sweep of the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes today after a road win at Volcanoes Stadium, 10-2. Flying Tigers right-hander Conroy Van Hise had a strong outing. He threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. Medford now holds a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 Wild Card Series.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Ozaner Averette? The Medford right fielder had a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put the Flying Tigers on top, 2-0. For the game, Averette had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

Salem-Keizer manager Ron Gabrielian called the blowout loss "ugly."
