Renegades Clip Dash, 2-1, in WCS Contest
|
The Hudson Valley Renegades defeated the Winston-Salem Dash, 2-1, in Game 4 of the Wild Card Series. Doing his part was starter Charles McBee, who threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The win moves Hudson Valley into a 2-2 tie with Winston-Salem in the series.
Hudson Valley won the game in part because of Neil Kuczynski. The first baseman ripped a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Renegades ahead, 2-1. For the game, Kuczynski had 1 double and 1 home run in 3 at-bats.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," McBee said after the game.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at BB&T Ballpark in Winston-Salem.
