Raucous Portland Ballpark Crowd Propels Lobsters to 4-2 Victory; Series Tied at 1
|
Behind a bravura effort from starter Elpidio Stancell, the Maine Lobsters topped the Olympia Spartans by the score of 4-2 and got their first win in the 2062 A- Championship Series. Stancell threw 6.2 innings allowing 1 run for the Lobsters. The win moves Maine into a 1-1 tie with Olympia.
With two out in the bottom of the fifth, Dexter Wiseman put Maine in front, 3-1, with a 2-run single. The Lobsters went on to win the ballgame.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Stancell said after the game.
The next game is set to be played for Wednesday, October 4th , 2062 at Ballpark of Victoria in Olympia.
