Lynchburg Win Brings Series to 3-2
Already down in the Wild Card Series, the Lynchburg Hillcats put on their best show, beating the Oxford Owls by a final score of 2-0. Levi Funston was special. He threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball. Lynchburg now trails Oxford 3-2 in the best-of-7 affair.

The Owls had trouble solving Funston, who surrendered no runs on 2 hits over 6.2 innings.

"A confident pitcher is a dangerous thing," said Lynchburg manager Jon Hundley. "That's what Levi is right now."

Game 6 is scheduled for Friday at Ballpark of Oxford in Oxford.
