Riding the 4-hit performance of first baseman Atlas Alvarado, the Buffalo Bisons got a road win against the Rochester Norsemen, 9-1, in Game 3 of the Wild Card Series. Alvarado was 4-5 with a home run and 3 doubles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for the Bisons, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 0.

With one out in the top of the eighth, Lorenzo Hooft barreled up a forkball from Hector Vásquez. The result was a 3-run home run, putting the Bisons in front, 8-1.

"We haven't stopped playing," Rochester manager Pierrick Gardella said. "We didn't get this far to give up."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Frontier Field in Rochester.
