Divisional Series Game 1 Victory for Allen and Olympia
When he got to Olympia, Zachariah Allen was just worrying about staying on the roster. Today, he was starring in the Divisional Series.

The 22-year-old rookie right-hander shut out the visiting Yakima Valley Pippins, 3-0, in a remarkable performance at Ballpark of Victoria. With the win, the Spartans took a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 Divisional Series.

Allen gave Olympia a solid start. The right-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits over 6 innings.

"Zachariah made some big pitches when he needed to," said Spartans manager Nick Kalous.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Victoria in Olympia.
