Raucous Portland Ballpark Crowd Propels Lobsters to 6-2 Victory; Series Tied at 2
|
The Maine Lobsters took down the Niagara Falls Rapids by the score of 6-2 and moved into a 2-2 tie in the Divisional Series. The largest share of the credit belongs to Maine starter Leandro Hall, who threw 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball.
Emmanuel Sloan had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the fourth for Maine. With the bases loaded and the Lobsters leading 3-2, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
Hall said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Portland Ballpark in Portland.
