Ghosts Down Indians, 7-5
|
Fans who congregated at Ballpark of Kinston were treated to extra-inning drama.
The 7-5 Casper win over Kinston was due largely to Jordan Lewis. The Ghosts second baseman was 3-6 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Casper occupies first place in the Pioneer League South Division at 44-25.
Casper used a clutch hit from Diego Castañeda to get the win. The designated hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Ghosts ahead, 7-5. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Good win for us, tough loss for them," said Lewis.
