Alex Parker went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk against the Spartans. With the game tied in the top of the tenth inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run that put Yakima Valley in front, 4-3.

"We're one game closer to our goal," Yakima Valley manager Victor Arias said later. "It isn't any more complicated than that."

Game 3 is scheduled for Wednesday at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park in Yakima.
