Flying Tigers Turn Back Canucks, 4-3
The Medford Flying Tigers defeated the Abbotsford Canucks, 4-3, in part because of first baseman Jackson Strouse. Strouse was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Flying Tigers. Medford reliever Steijn Atteveld got the win, raising his record to 1-2. Sammy Okai was tagged with the loss. Kurt Chisolm collected save number 1.

Strouse contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Medford in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-0, Strouse took a slider from Sammy Okai and stroked the home run to center. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Flying Tigers to leap in front, 4-2.

"You come to the ballpark to do your job and that's what I did today," Strouse told the Medford Daily News.

Medford has now won 4 in a row.
