Indians Claim 3-0 Win
|
In a low-scoring contest, Spokane pitcher Zach Doughty was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 3-0 win. In 6 innings, Doughty surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. The Indians now have a record of 40-27 with the win over Abbotsford.
Hansel Monge had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for Spokane. He came through with a 2-run double to put Spokane in front, 3-0.
"I like to lead by example," said Monge. "I'm glad I could contribute to a good win."
