Chiefs Scratch Out 1-0 Win
|
Neal Fulton, despite pitching well, was dismayed with the outcome: a hard-fought, 1-0 Kennewick Marauders defeat at the hands of the Wenatchee Chiefs at Chiefs Stadium. Faustino Tercero picked up the win in relief for Wenatchee, while Neal Fulton took the loss. Chip Allegro was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save.
Alex Arebela drove in one run for Wenatchee. The 20-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With no one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Neal Fulton. It was his 10th RBI of the season.
Said Kennewick manager Vinny Rodriguez: "When you don't score, it's never a good thing."
Yes, it was a win for Wenatchee; but their 13-56 mark is nothing to crow about.
